the strength in our scars
When visiting Andrew's Scenic Acres last year the fields were bursting with water colours of dahlia's, that wasn't exactly the case this year. In Canada the weather changes so fast if you chance it to even a day the frost will have gotten the best of the beautiful blooms. I waited maybe two days longer than last year & with all the rain there were only pops of colours throughout the fields. Like anything I like to make the best of what is offered so I foraged the fields for those that were still intact to fill my basket with :).
My god, I hope you find love. And I don't just mean that in regards to someone you wrap your tired bones around at night. I mean that I hope you find love in every aspect of your life. I hope you find it tucked into early morning sunrises, and the smell of your favourite places. I hope you find it strung between the laughter you share with your friends, I hope it bounces off of you when you hug the people you care for, I hope it swells within your ribcage whenever you hear your favourite song, or discover something that moves you. I hope you fall in love with growth, and change, and the messiness and the beauty of fucking up, and making mistakes, and becoming exactly who you want to be. I hope you find love in places that were once void of it, in places within yourself that you could have been softer to, kinder to, in the past. Because if there is one thing I have learned, it is that love is so much more than a boy, or a girl, who holds your heart. Love is everything around you. It is everything. - bianca sparacino
Be the person who cares. Be the person who makes the effort, the person who loves without hesitation. Be the person who bares it all, the person who never shies away from the depth of their feeling, or the intensity of their hope. Be the person who believes — in the softness of the world, in the goodness of other people, in the beauty of being open and untethered and trusting. Be the person who takes the chance, who refuses to hide. Be the person who makes people feel seen, the person who shows up. Trust me when I say — be the person who cares. Because the world doesn't need anymore carelessness, any more disregard; because there is nothing stronger than someone who continues to stay soft in a world that hasn't always been kind to them. - bianca sparacino
Pay more attention to what stirs your heart. Pay attention to the music that makes you want to cry, or dance, or jump right our of your skin. Pay attention to what makes you happy — truly happy, the kind of happy that drips from your bones, the kind of happy that gives you hope and makes you believe that you have a reason to be here. Pay attention to the things that make you laugh, the things that make you smile. Really focus on figuring out what compels you, really focus on discovering the aspects of the world that interest you and challenge you and make you want to learn and grow. You have to pay attention. To the things that make you believe in being alive, to the people that support you and build you up and make you feel like you're understood in a world that can sometimes feel like a haunted and hurtful place. You have to pay attention to the life you want to create yourself, because you are in charge of your own happiness, you are in charge of who you become. So, if something makes your soul feel like it is finally home — pay attention to it. Whether it is a job, or an idea, or a person, or place — just follow it. Just make your life your own. - bianca sparacino
I think it's brave. I think it's brave that you get up in the morning when your heart aches and life is messy and you do not feel like being soft to the world. I think it is brave that you continue to love, and express, and open your soul, despite the way you were treated in the past. I think it is brave that you keep going, that you keep believing in something more, something bigger, even when you may not know what you are hoping for. I think it is brave that you fight, I think it is brave that you chose, every single day, to move forward — because that is what makes you strong. That is what makes you strong. - bianca sparacino
To be human is to understand that happiness isn't a constant. But to be human is to understand that neither is sorrow, or grief, or heartache. To be human is to feel it all, to welcome the lessons that come with the dark days, to welcome the softness that comes from the lightness of what saves you. To be human is to try, with every inch of your patchwork soul, to be proud of who you are. To care. To heal. To be your own home, even on the days you don't like yourself, even on the days where it doesn't come naturally. To be human is to grow in the ups, and to grow in the downs. So keep growing. Keep growing. - bianca sparacino
Are there any rules when it comes to love? There is just one: Let it change you. Let it leave you better than you were before. - bianca sparacino
